چکیده
In this paper, we explore the problem of routing, modulation and spectrum assignment (RMSA) for advance reservation (AR) requests in elastic optical networks (EONs), with objective to further reduce blocking probability improve utilization. On one hand, propose a minimum resource consumption routing policy (MRC) leaving more free resources future requests. other introduce two-dimensional (2D) path model, which each AR request can be transformed into rectangle block whose length width are related bandwidth duration respectively. Therefore, is simplified packing problem. Furthermore, design several factors evaluate fragmentation caused by operation, where consider situation neighborhood first time. Based on these factors, fragmentation-aware strategy (2D-FA). Through combination MRC 2D-FA, novel RMSA algorithm named MRC-2D-FA dynamically provisioning EONs. Simulation results show that achieve lower higher utilization compared well-performed benchmark algorithms.

Fragmentation-aware service provisioning for advance reservation multicast in SD-EONs.
In this paper, we study the service provisioning schemes for dynamic advance reservation (AR) multicast requests in elastic optical networks (EONs). We first propose several algorithms that can handle the service scheduling and routing and spectrum assignment (RSA) of AR multicast requests jointly, including an integrated two-dimensional fragmentation-aware RSA (2D-FMA) that can alleviate the 2...
متن کاملCall Admission Control for Advance Reservation Requests with Alternatives∗
Call admission control is the problem of deciding for a given set of connection requests which of them to accept and which to reject, with the goal of maximizing the profit obtained from the accepted requests. The problem is considered in a scenario with advance reservations where users can specify several alternatives for when and how they want their connections to be established. Two variants...

متن کاملCAFT: Cost-aware and Fault-tolerant routing algorithm in 2D mesh Network-on-Chip
By increasing, the complexity of chips and the need to integrating more components into a chip has made network –on- chip known as an important infrastructure for network communications on the system, and is a good alternative to traditional ways and using the bus. By increasing the density of chips, the possibility of failure in the chip network increases and providing correction and fault tol...
متن کاملScheduling Advance Reservation Requests for WDM Networks with Static Traffic Demands
Telecommunication and grid computing applications demand high bandwidth data channels that offer guarantees with respect to service availability. Such applications include: remote surgery, remote experimentation, video on-demand (VOD), teleconferencing, and bulk transfers. Furthermore, by forecasting traffic patterns internet service providers (ISP) attempt to optimize network resources in orde...
